Our Products

Gasoline grades are based on octane ratings. The octane rating of gasoline tells how much the fuel can be compressed before it spontaneously ignites. Octane rating is a measure of a fuel’s ability to resist ‘knock’. The octane requirement of an engine varies with compression ratio, geometrical and mechanical considerations and operating conditions. The higher the octane numbers the greater the fuel’s resistance to knocking or pinging during combustion. To determine which gasoline grade is best for any vehicle, owner’s manual has to be checked basically. However, the recommended octane level for most vehicles is usually octane 87, but some car models have high-compression engines, which are designed to utilize octane levels of 89, 91, 92 or higher. Ordinarily, vehicles won’t benefit from using an octane higher than the owner’s manual recommends.
